Curled pondweed (Potamogeton crispus) is a submerged aquatic plant commonly found in lakes, rivers, canals, and ponds across the UK. Recognisable by its distinctive wavy, translucent leaves with finely serrated edges, it provides valuable habitat and cover for aquatic invertebrates and fish. Flowering from May to July, it produces small reddish-brown flower spikes that emerge above the water surface.
