Potted water mint ( mentha aquatica )
as the name suggests it is an aquatic member of the mint family it can grow in the margins as well as in deep water it is a very versatile native plant. The flowers are purple and highly attractive to bees and other pollinators it flowers from mid summer ,the plant spreads via under ground / water rhizomes and is fairly fast growing and makes an excellent addition to a wildlife pond.
