Barbel ( Barbus barbus )

The barbel is a native bottom dwelling fish often found in rivers and streams, however it can also live in still waters and ponds provided there's enough oxygen, barbel can reach a max length of over 80cm and weigh up to 22lb though a smaller size is more common.
Barbel will eat a wide range of foods from sinking pellets, like bloodworm, sturgeon, shrimp and carp pellets aswell as frozen and live foods like daphnia, bloodworm, krill, gammarus, mysis shrimp and brine shrimp, earthworms and aquatic invertebrates also make up a large part of they're diet in the wild.
