Brooklime also known as european speedwell is a native herbaceous succulant growing on damp ground and the margins of rivers ,streams and ponds , it is a very versatile native plant. The flowers are small and blue and are attractive to bees and other pollinators it flowers from mid summer ,the plant spreds via under ground / water rhyzomes and is fast growing and makes an excellent addition to a wildlife pond.
