This mix of fast growing native Marginal plants  is perfect for newts to lay their eggs on , newts lay an individual egg on each leaf, then using their back legs to fold the leaf over to cover and protect the egg, the leaves of these plants are the perfect shape, size and soft enough for this, making these species especially water forget me not ( myosotis scorpioides ) the preferd species for all 3 of the native newts.
